File Requirements
Files set up right print right. Follow the checks below and your job goes straight to press. Not sure about something? Upload it anyway: we check every file by hand, free, and flag anything before it prints.
- BleedBackground colour and pictures run past the cut, so no white edge shows after trimming.
- Trim lineWhere the sheet is cut. The blade can move a hair either way.
- Safe areaKeep text, logos and anything important inside this line.

File types
A press quality PDF is best.
Upload My File also takes AI, EPS, SVG, JPG and PNG.
Have a PSD, TIFF, Word or PowerPoint file? Save it as a PDF and upload that, or contact us. Word and PowerPoint files can shift slightly when converted.

Resolution
300 DPI at the final print size.
Banners, signs and other large format products can be 100 to 150 DPI at full size.
Screenshots and web images (72 DPI) look blurry in print.

Colour
Design in CMYK.
RGB and Pantone colours are converted for you and may shift slightly.
For large black areas, use rich black: C60 M40 Y40 K100.

Bleed and safe area
Bleed: extend background colour and pictures 0.125 in (3 mm) past the trim on every side.
Safe area: keep text and logos at least 0.125 in inside the trim.
Booklets: keep text and logos 0.25 in inside the trim.

Fonts and lines
Outline (convert to curves) or embed every font.
Make lines at least 0.25 pt thick.
Keep text at least 6 pt, or 8 pt for white text on a dark background.
